JLS Flute Dent Body Bar

Lifting dents out of flutes has never been easier! Each end has a particular radius and entry angle that will provide the power needed to lift even heavy-wall nickel silver tube dents.

There are a few options for holding the tool:

JLS Flute Station – place in the 5/8″ hole of the V-Block Vise Column (included in Flute Station Base Kit) and secure with set screw.
Original JLS Flute Station (discontinued) – hold with 5/8″ Stanchion Sleeve (discontinued).

JLS Flute Pad Cup Collars (Set of 4)

JLS Flute Pad Cup Collars will protect delicate pads from compression and abrasion by acting as fulcrum for lifting and removing Open Hole/French Bushings (Grommets) with our JLS Bushing Remover/Pad Slick Tool.

These collars are made out of brass – a soft material, which allows them to rest on the edge of a pad cup without damaging the shape or finish of the metal.

This set includes one collars for each size of open hole/French pad cup: 17mm, 17.5mm, 18mm, and 18.5mm.

JLS Flute Pad Retaining Washer Dimpler

The JLS Pad Retaining Washer Dimpler puts a ‘dimple’ or depression in the pad washer which relieves the tension on the pad skin of the newer Delrin backed pads. With less pressure on the pad and skin the skin will have less of a tendency to tear or wrinkle. This tool can also be used with “traditional pads.”

JLS Flute Station Post Raising Wrench

The J.L. Smith 227056 Post Raising Wrench used with the 227050 Flute Station Tonehole Rod will raise pushed in posts and ribs effortlessly and exactingly. The instrument body is placed over the rod. You then insert the largest ball from the set into the pocket at the end of the rod. The wrench is threaded into the rod through the bore of the body. Center the low point of the post or rib over the ball and begin to turn the wrench with light pressure. Once there is resistance the ball is beginning to apply pressure. Watch for progress as you gently take a quarter turn at a time.

JLS Selmer Sax Brace Tool

The Selmer-style bell brace will compress when the bell is pushed in toward the body. To restore the look of the brace and return the bell to its correct position, we must restore the brace to “round.” After removing the keys as needed, insert the brace tool into the brace (small end first). Wedge the tool in place then tap on the brace with a rawhide mallet until restored. This brace works on the Balanced Action, Super Balanced Action, MK VI, and the MKVII models.
