JLS Sax Post Soldering Fixture

Soldering saxophone posts can be a challenge. That challenge is greatly reduced with our new Sax Post Soldering Fixture as it secures the post in position while soldering.

The Fixture has a through hole that you’ll insert binding wire through; the binding wire is then wrapped around the body and secured. Our fixture is designed to sit atop a post ball and apply pressure downwards. We’ve also given you the advantage of being able to mount the post’s key(s) in place so that you can locate the post perfectly. For “tree” or “gang” style posts (those with multiple balls but only one post) the tree tube takes the pressure of the wire outbound of the posts.

JLS Sax Neck Tenon and Receiver Plugs

Our JLS Sax Neck Tenon and Receiver Plugs are offered as a mandrel to fit in the neck tenon and receiver. They can be used to re-round and straighten the neck or receiver. Held in a vice, they can be used as a third hand to help manipulate a neck in order to straighten it. Inserted in the neck receiver the plugs can be used as device to help align a bent stack tube.

JLS Key Pin Punch

The JLS Key Pin Punch is designed to make an often tricky job more manageable – removing pins from flute mechanisms.

A spring loaded ball plunger (that can be tightened from the back if it loosens) holds the punch rods in place which allows the technician to hold a flute key with one hand and a hammer with the other.

When removing a headjoint cork, it’s important to replicate its position for the client.

JLS Key Trapeze

Straightening hinge tubes can be an awkward process and a difficult one without proper support, so we’ve made the JLS Key Trapeze.

It’s the third hand support of hinge tube repair – designed to hold and help straighten flute, clarinet and saxophone hinge tubes.

The 3D printed arms slide along a stainless steel rod and can be taken off, then flipped around, so that the step of the arm is facing inwards or outwards.

Batch Built is a description we apply to our machined tools that are periodically made in batches.

Each time we make a new batch, the product’s design, function, specifications, and materials are reviewed with the design and production teams. We are constantly improving our tools and finding ways to make them more economically.

Although we work hard to ensure our essential tools, pads, parts and supplies are always available, Batch Built tools are not in stock at all times.

How can I order Batch Built tools?
If a Batch Built tool is out of stock it cannot be ordered, but you can enter your email address on the product page in the field “Email when stock available” and click “Notify Me”.

We don’t want to hold up orders that include Batch Built items if they cannot be delivered, particularly if those items are not yet on our production schedule and have no ETA.
