Brass Scratch Wheel Brushes – Straight Wire

These brass scratch wheel brushes feature a light abrasive quality and are soft enough to conform to surfaces with curves. They can be used for preparing, cleaning and finishing various surfaces.

• Surface Prep: Prepares a surface for soldering or plating by ensuring better adhesion.
• Surface Cleaning: For removing dirt, oxidation, rust, flux scale and other surface contaminants from metal (and even wood).
• Deburring: Can smooth rough edges or small burrs created by cutting, drilling, or machining materials.
• Parts Finishing: Can create a fine satin (i.e. “scratched”) finish on surfaces before further polishing. Surface will not actually appear scratched.
• Tubing Finishing: Can be used on saxophone and flute tenons, brasswind tuning slides and more places where you desire a satin finish for aesthetic quality or functionality.

Use scratch brush wheels on buffing machines or bench motors. They are often used with water (and a couple drops of detergent) to facilitate lubricity and cleanliness.
