Tip #00 is the smallest and best for clarinet and other small instrument padding. Ideal for saxophone work, the #0 tip is perfect for trumpet and other small instrument soldering.
The #1 tip is excellent for silver soldering and large horn soldering.
# 2 is excellent for annealing, silver soldering and large horn solder work.
The #3 works well for disassembling baritone and similar horns.
The #4 tip is ideal for annealing large parts and disassembling larger horns, tuba etc.
