The Taplin-Weir Clarinet Bore Gauge Kit was created to provide accurate readings of dimensions at the ends of each bore area (including the mouthpiece) and therefore determining tapers and such. The vernier caliper is perfect for measuring barrel length.
Holding a cork pad in a cup at the end of the spinner, the tool is then held in a bench motor. Under power, the tech can sand or file a bevel or radius on the exposed edge of the pad. This aids in helping to float the pad.Instructions
