Ordering by part number, and getting "no items found" message? Here's why: Some of our items (pads, mostly) that are available in many sizes, show up differently now. There is just ONE item for our 701 Series .080 Greenback White Pads , with a drop down menu for sizes. Pads are now numbered by series (i.e. 701). Now, just go to the left menu bar, click on 'Pads,' click your instrument, and you'll see one item for each thickness, and a drop down menu for diameters.
• The MAG™ Machine • Sax Neck Leak Isolators • JLS Flute Blocks These products are under re-design and are currently backordered. If you place an order we will notify you as soon as they're available.
This simple-to-use tool will quickly help you locate all types of leaks in every model flute. The tool will isolate the flute at different points along its length, and it will also isolate each pad individually. Used with our #236044 "MAG" machines.
Flute makers usually use a burnishing method for expanding the head tenon. Our Flute Head Fitting Mandrel is used to support the head tenon and is straight at that area. It tapers the rest of the inserted portion. Fits with head cork in place.
Customer Jeff Denning reports that we “saved my life” with our Flute Repinning Set. He used it to salvage the key work on an old Haynes piccolo. This kit saved the day– and his customers’ piccolo.
The ultimate tool for helping to free the sometimes tricky to remove flute and piccolo key knock pins. Your flute work will benefit from this great tool. We've now lighted the work area with a battery powered led lamp!
One end sets heights “close,” the other end sets more “open.” The smallest step is for the left hand C and trill keys, next largest step is for the main line, and the largest step is for the foot keys.
A big title for a very simple and elegant tool. This tool will set your grommets in straight, and to a predetermined depth. One more way to get consistent results with tricky flute padding.
Our ingenious Grommet Plate (French bushing) helps you restore the metal grommets on open-hole flutes. Containing holes for all grommets sizes, our plate helps restore the part to round and precise dimensions. Wish I had this tool over the last 30 years-it would have saved me tons of grief.
This tool is designed to re-round and resize the open-hole (French) chimney in flutes.
Enlarging the chimney can be a helpful remedy when the open-hole pad retainer (a.k.a. bushing or grommet) is loose at the depth of desirable insertion.
A Pad Retaining Washer Dimpler puts a 'dimple' or depression in the pad washer which relieves the tension on the pad skin of the newer Delrin backed pads. With less pressure on the pad and skin the skin will have less of a tendency to tear or wrinkle. This tool can also be used with “traditional pads.” Stainless steel.
The Retaining Washer Spinner tool has two purposes: It allows you to polish the pad washer and screw during an overhaul, in a faster and more efficient manner, and creates a bevel on the pad side of the washer to further relieve excess strain on the pad and skin.
The Pad Cup Spud Facer cuts the spud to the correct height when installing new spuds, or when setting the flute up to precise standards for best pad compression.
This screw board is designed for ease of use and understanding as to where every little part goes. With a picture of a flute, it is very easy to place and locate all of the parts when assembling and/or disassembling your flute.
This tool works as a pad leveling tool on one end, and a bushing remover on the other. Smooth surface prevents pad damage when removing French open hole bushings (grommets). Made of hardened stainless steel.
Used to shift and move pad for coverage while glue is molten. Also can be used to “iron” wrinkled flute or clarinet pads. Brush finished, blended edges of hardened stainless steel.
High Speed Steel scraper blade is perfect for many shop uses. Because of the geometry the scraper allows cleaning solder next to ribs and into blind holes such as boxes and ferrules. With a little hand honing the scraper becomes a perfect flute headjoint cutting scraper. Includes handle.

Lifting dents out of flutes has never been easier! Each end has a particular radius and entry angle that will provide the power needed to lift even heavy wall nickel silver tube dents.Hold the tool in the Flute Station (with additional 5/8" sleeve), or hold securely in a vice.
Subtle differences in the position of keyholes have a great effect on intonation, responsiveness and overall performance of an instrument. The Flute Scale Story Stick is a simple two-piece tool that allows technicians to accurately locate, measure and analyze the exact positioning of tone holes along the entire length of the flute body.
One of the key factors in determining the tonal quality, responsiveness and overall performance of flute headjoints is the interior taper. The JLS Headjoint Story Stick is a great tool for analyzing interior dimensions and the best way to measure and compare bore shapes.
